How much does an appointment cost? The cost per appointment will depend on your insurance. Typically, copayments range from $0 to $60 dollars per appointment. It is best to contact your insurance company directly. Staff at Different MHP can also assist with providing an estimated cost as well. If you do not have insurance, you may enroll in Different’s subscription plan which is a flat rate.
Yes, we started accepting Medicaid in November 2025.
When you use health insurance that we accept, you are only responsible for copays, co-insurance and deductibles which is outlined in your plan. Your insurance will cover the rest of the cost of the visit. Prescription medications are generally covered under pharmacy benefits and may require additional co-pays paid directly to the pharmacy.
If your health insurance plan has a deductible you will need to pay a certain amount towards your health care before your insurance plan will start paying. For example, if you have $500 deductible you may need to pay that amount before the office visits are covered.
After your appointment, Different MHP will submit a claim directly to your insurance company for all insurances that we accept. You will receive a statement in the mail from your insurance company of what services were covered and/or not covered, and an amount that you owe, if anything. If there is any outstanding charges, Different MHP will send you an invoice.
Co-pay
A co-pay or copayment is a flat fee that you pay every time you see your provider. This is charged by your insurance and Different MHP will collect this at the time of service. Co-pays are also charged for prescription medications. Some insurance plans do not have co-pays.
Coinsurance
Coinsurance is the amount that must be paid after your deductible is met (if applicable). For example, your insurance may cover 80% of costs but you pay 20%.
Deductible
A deductible is the predetermined sum you’re responsible for covering in healthcare expenses annually before your insurance kicks in. This sum is determined by your insurance plan.
